Pag lace is a distinct form of lacework originating from Pag, an island in Croatia. Creating Pag lace involves using a needle, thread, and a firm round or square pillow as a backing. Traditionally, lace-makers of Pag did their teg without any drawings.

In 2009, Pag lace was included on UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage. Pag lace was inscribed in UNESCO’s register alongside Hvar lace and Lepoglava lace, thereby becoming one of the seven intangible cultural heritage items from Croatia listed in this registry.

The natural wild olives are symbols of defiance against the bura winds, stone, and man, and have been for an entire millennium. The preserved tradition of olive growing has committed Lun and its inhabitants to protect this pristine area, which represents the natural and cultural heritage of the Mediterranean region, for future generations.
